Reverend Monsignor Arthur A. Holquin

   The Reverend Monsignor Arthur A. Holquin serves as the 34th pastor in a line of

   succession that dates back to 1776 to Fray Junipero Serra, OFM, the founder

   of this historic Mission. Reverend Holquin has continued the theme of his

   illustrious predecessors "siempre adelante," always moving the Mission

   Basilica San Juan Capistrano forward through preservation, education and

   most importantly spiritual growth of not only local parishioners, but also the

   thousands of pilgrims who journey to this National Shrine each year.
