Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano Parish is the spiritual home for many who experience a special sense of connection with the historical legacy begun here by Father Junipero Serra in 1776.
On establishing the Missions, Father Serra adopted the motto “siempre adelante” or “always forward.” This phrase has become pervasive in the life of Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, as we endeavor as a community of faith to always be faithful to that original call to move forward in Christ.
As pastor, I welcome those who wish to be active, participating and intentional members of the Mission Basilica Parish.
Should you reside outside of the City of San Juan Capistrano, I ask that you send a request to my attention stating your desire to be a parishioner. If you are within the boundaries of San Juan Capistrano, and wish to register you may click the link below and complete the form. Your request for membership will be received and a staff member will contact you in order to complete the required census form.
We invite you, as well, to consider the many ways in which you can become an active member of the Mission Basilica Parish.
Please review our ministry pages that highlight some of our many activities, ministries and outreach programs.
Thank you for your desire to be a part of our vibrant community of faith here at the Mission Basilica as you endeavor to grow closer to Christ through your experience here.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Reverend Monsignor Arthur A. Holquin
