Parish aid & senior outreach

Our ministry is committed to helping those in need who have experienced an unexpected life crisis situation and are in need of transitional support. We provide assistance to single mothers, abuse victims, special needs individuals and the homeless. Services include community-based resource referrals, information and at times limited financial assistance. Additionally, we provide services to seniors by hosting social events and volunteer visitations. Our family referral services are provided in partnership with Mission Hospital and the Community Health Enrichment Collaborative (CHEC) Family Resource Center.

Knitting and crochet ministry

The first Wednesday of the month from 9:30 am – 11:00 am in the Pastoral Office, our lovely parish group of ladies, share their time and talent of stitches of love. The working hands of our group have made numerous hats, scarves, shawls and blankets. These gifts are shared to comfort those who feel alone in a time of crisis. If you have a willing heart, we will be glad to show you how to knit and/or crochet. No experience is necessary.

friendly visitors

A simple visit in friendship can mean so much and bring joy through the simplicity of human companionship by sharing one hour a week with a senior. It is so easy to experience a sense of loneliness because of their isolation from others. To demonstrate the strength of our parish community is to be present in a loving and caring way to those who are in most need of our presence. Friendly Visitors establish their own visiting hours.
